Aleutian 70, Global Surveyor

World tested cruising comfort, hurricane tested steel strength.

The crew needs no initial sailing experience. To achieve objective 1 they do however need to have a good measure of common sense, be happy to learn new skills, and to accept the authority of the skipper. It is hoped that after a short time everyone will know, and automatically do what is required, before being asked, thus minimizing any intervention from the skipper.

Objective 2 depends in a large part on the interaction of all crew members. Crossing Oceans and visiting exotic places can be no more than passing time when with sullen companions. It can however, be the best time of your life when shared with those you like and respect. It will therefore be the responsibility of every crew member to be actively pleasant, and to make a positive effort to get on with everyone else. They may find that doing so also enhances their own happiness. The vessel is however large enough to get away from others when desired.
