Aleutian 70, Global Surveyor

World tested cruising comfort, hurricane tested steel strength.

The most effective and least restrictive safety scheme is the one where intelligent adults, who do not like pain, are responsible for their own well-being. It is the skipper's responsibility to advise the crew of hidden risks, after that it is up to them, however he will not hesitate to intervene where danger threatens.

The skipper must be advised of any pre-existing medical problems. During the voyage the crew will be exposed to roughly the same degree of risk of diseases as tourists, and should take similar precautions for malaria and other pathogens. In port all medical expenses are for the individual, at sea the vessel will carry a large amount of First Aid equipment. Emergency medical or other advice can be obtained via global telephone.

Apart from the inherent strength, watertight compartments, and stability of the vessel, she will carry fire fighting equipment, flares, and life rafts. She will also carry an EPIRP worldwide emergency position indicator.
